Last year I started a series titled “In Search of Piet The Minimalist #1, #2 and #3“.
It took two days and here are my latest attempts to seek out Piet, “In Search of Piet The Minimalist #4 and #5”.
Creating all five using torn pieces from older paintings (recycling them), collage, water colors on paper, photography and then some little tweaking using my trusty scanner and digital software ACDSee.
There is no way that these two attempts in search of Piet was a smooth transition. No comparisons at all from the previous ones. So what happened here?
Well, in my sandpit where I play and forget all the woes of the world, I just had too much fun. And maybe, just maybe, over created.
Do I stay the course with in search of Piet, #1, #2 and #3 or look for Piet to become more minimalist than #4 and #5.
It may all depend on the weather the next time I dip into the sandpit.
I think I got a wee bit carried away with #5.
Watch below a visual impression of the design and influence of Piet Mondrian set to music.
